Description:
Albizia julibrissin, commonly known as the mimosa tree, is a fast-growing deciduous tree with fern-like foliage and striking pink flower clusters. Originally from Asia, it is a nitrogen-fixing legume that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. The tree is hardy in USDA zones 6-10 and can reach heights of 20-35 feet. While it tolerates drought and heat, it can become invasive in some climates, so careful management is advised.
