Description:

Native to Argentina and Bolivia, this cactus has a tree-like appearance with stems covered in white hair. It grows up to 60 cm and blooms deep red or violet flowers from early spring to late summer. The plant is fast-growing and needs loose, sandy, free-draining soil. It thrives in full sun but should avoid direct sunlight and is propagated by offshoots and seeds.
