Zephyranthes 'Yellow Fever' is a hybrid rain lily with light buttery yellow, narrow-petaled flowers that bloom in mid-summer. This low-maintenance plant responds to rain with a dramatic flush of blooms and can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. It thrives in sunny, frost-free locations and is winter hardy in USDA zone 7. The bulbs should be planted with about an inch of soil on top, and foliage can be removed once it turns brown.
