Philodendron subhastatum

Family: Araceae, Genus: Philodendron

Description:

Philodendron subhastatum is a climbing plant known for its striking dual-colored leaves, with glossy dark green tops and rich red undersides. It thrives in bright, indirect light and a humid environment, making it ideal for indoor settings with a moss pole for support. The leaves can grow up to 2 feet long, and the plant prefers well-draining soil with consistent moisture. While juvenile foliage features a burgundy reverse, mature leaves lose this coloration. It can be kept in terrariums but may outgrow them quickly. This plant belongs to the Araceae family and is adaptable to a range of temperatures from 55 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
