Sarracenia 'Judith Hindle' is a captivating carnivorous plant known for its striking pitcher leaves that transition from green to deep plum. This hybrid, a mix of Sarracenia purpurea, flava, and leucophylla, thrives in full sun and requires a winter dormancy period. Native to the southeastern United States, it is well-suited to boggy environments and can withstand temperatures from 15 to 100°F. The plant's compact pitchers feature an undulating lid and can grow up to 15 inches tall. It is a hardy, temperate plant that needs to sit in at least two inches of distilled or purified water. Bred by Alan Hindle, it was named after his wife by Peter D’Amato. This plant is a strong grower from spring through autumn, making it a fascinating addition to any garden.
