Microsorum pteropus 'Needle Leaf'

Family: Polypodiaceae, Genus: Microsorum

Description:

The Needle Leaf Java Fern is a variant of the Java Fern with thin, slender leaves no wider than half an inch, making it a popular choice for background or focal points in aquariums. It thrives in low light conditions and a wide range of water parameters, and can be attached to driftwood, rocks, or decorations. This epiphytic plant propagates by cutting or pulling apart its rhizomes, which should not be buried. It is easy to care for and does not require CO2 injection, although CO2 can improve growth. The plant's leaves may develop dots on the underside, which is normal, but unstable water parameters can cause the plant to melt and rot.
