Description:
Comanthosphace japonica, a Japanese shrub mint, forms a 3-foot tall and wide mass of upright stems with golden yellow leaves. The foliage may fade in warm summer nights, but cutting back encourages a brighter reflush. In October and November, it is topped with yellow bottlebrush-like flowers, making it a striking addition to gardens.
