Description:
This plant is cold hardy to temperatures as low as -12°C and requires more water than most cacti. It should be fertilized monthly during the growing season and kept in full sun outside or light shade in hot summers. The plant needs bright light and some direct sun inside and should be kept dry in winter to encourage dormancy. It is susceptible to fungal diseases if overwatered and tends to develop black rotted spots if kept damp in cold periods.
