Description:

Agave wocomahi 'Basaseachic' is a winter-hardy century plant native to the Basaseachic region in Chihuahua, Mexico. It grows in alkaline, rock-based, pine-oak forests at elevations of 4,000-8,000 feet. This plant features very dark green leaves with bud imprint patterns and bright cinnamon red teeth, topped with 12-foot tall spikes of paniculate yellow flowers when mature. It is known for its high sugar content, suitable for making mescal, and requires dry conditions in winter.
