Cercis canadensis 'Covey' is a small, cascading accent tree with pink flowers in spring that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It has heart-shaped leaves and zig-zag stems, providing brilliant yellow fall color. This tree can be grown as a 5-foot high groundcover if unstaked or trained into a small tree with a sturdy trunk.
