Farfugium japonicum var. giganteum 'Marco' is a striking plant native to Japan's southern Ryukyu Islands, known for its nearly 15-inch wide, thick, glossy leaves. It forms a 30-inch wide clump and produces 4-foot tall stalks of bright yellow daisies in late October. This plant prefers slightly moist but well-drained soil and benefits from at least a couple of hours of sun.
