Description:
Achimenes 'Purple King' is a perennial plant with hairy, dark green foliage and deep purple flowers that bloom from July through September. It forms a 1-foot tall and wide clump and is late to emerge in spring. This plant does not tolerate wet winter soils and benefits from a winter-dry spot and good mulch.
