Description:

This tree-like cactus has a blue ribbed stem tufted in thick silky wool and short, funnel-shaped, flesh-colored blooms that appear on and off throughout the growing season. It flowers during the warmest part of the year and is a vigorous grower, requiring 4 to 6 hours or more of direct sun. It should be watered regularly in summer and kept drier in winter, tolerating temperatures down to 5°C (or even 0°C) for short periods if very dry and ventilated.
