Description:
This selection of ostrich fern thrives in the hot, humid southeastern US, forming 3-foot tall deciduous rosettes that can reach 6 feet under ideal conditions. It spreads vigorously via underground rhizomes and is deer-resistant, found in moist ditches and lowlands but adapts to drier garden conditions. The plant produces 18-inch brown fertile fronds in fall and is a low-maintenance perennial that fills large spaces with an airy texture.
