Description:
Hesperaloe funifera is a rosette-forming perennial native to Texas and northern Mexico, known for its long, narrow, yellow-green blades and tall flowering stalks. The plant produces green or white flowers, often tinged with purple, on spikes that can reach up to 8-12 feet tall. It is durable and drought-tolerant, making it ideal for rocky slopes and open plains. The strong fibers from its leaves are traditionally used for making rope.
