Helleborus ballardiae 'Pink Frost'

Family: Ranunculaceae, Genus: Helleborus

Description:

Helleborus ballardiae 'Pink Frost' is a hybrid hellebore known for its vigorous growth and floriferous nature. The flowers open pink in mid-February and age to a dark pinkish-red, attracting honeybees in winter. This virtually maintenance-free perennial is sterile, so there's no need to remove old flowers. It prefers light open shade or a few hours of early day sun and requires good drainage. Its winter blooms and evergreen foliage make it a valuable addition to shade gardens.
