It features a spiral of fragrant white flowers on a tall stem, blooming from late summer until after the first frost. This orchid grows in open, acidic bogs and is adaptable to drier conditions if the soil remains damp during flowering. It is winter hardy and sensitive to mineral buildup, requiring rain or distilled water for irrigation.
