Description:
Macbridea caroliniana is a flowering plant in the mint family, native to the swamp forests of the Atlantic coastal plain in the southeastern United States. It forms low patches of upright green stems and produces raspberry pink flowers in late July. This easy-to-grow perennial is a Federal Species of Concern and thrives in sphagnum bog edges and open forested bottomlands.
