Description:
Comparable to Mammillaria spinosissima but smaller, this plant has compact tubercles with finer and whiter/yellower spines and rings of intense red flowers in summer. It originates from Mexico and has solitary, columnar stems up to 20 inches long, requiring regular water in summer and light shade to full sun, with frost tolerance above 40°F (4°C).
