Description:

Sarracenia oreophila is a rare carnivorous plant with tall, stately green pitchers that trap insects. Native to the high elevations of the Cumberland Plateau, it is federally endangered and nearly extinct in the wild. This plant produces large, yellow flowers in spring and requires full sun and constant moisture. It is a robust grower, well-suited for bog gardens and conservation efforts.
