Description:

Hosta pycnophylla is a perennial with thick green leaves that have a glaucous coating and a powdery white underside. The plant forms 20-inch wide clumps and features reddish-purple speckled petioles and flower stalks. It blooms with purple flowers in midsummer and is attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. This hosta is ideal for cottage gardens and can thrive in part sun to light shade.
