Description:

Sorghastrum nutans, commonly known as Indian Grass, is a tall prairie grass native to much of the United States. It can grow up to 5 feet tall and is known for its blue-green foliage that turns tawny in the heat. In late summer, it produces harvest gold seed heads that provide food and shelter for wildlife during winter. This drought-tolerant grass is easy to care for and is often used in hedges, screens, and borders.
