Galanthus elwesii var. monostictus, a Turkish native snowdrop, is known for its resilience and ease of growth. It forms dense clumps of 1-foot tall flower stalks that bloom from early November through December, followed by wide, glaucous foliage. This variety is larger than Galanthus alpinus and was once mistaken for Galanthus caucasicus.
