Sarcococca ruscifolia 'Emeishan' is a non-suckering species introduced by Mark Weathington from Mt. Emei, China. It grows to 5 feet tall and 8 feet wide in four years, featuring black-green foliage and tall, sturdy arching stems. The plant produces small, sweetly fragrant white flowers in December, followed by bright red fruit.
