Description:

Arum purpureospathum, discovered in southwest Crete, features green arrow-like leaves that emerge in fall and go dormant in summer. It produces 10-inch tall inflorescences with a dark purple spathe and spadix in late spring. This plant is exceptionally drought-tolerant.
