Lycoris straminea is a rare, naturally-occurring hybrid native to China, known for its frilly, light-yellow flowers with long pink-tinged stamens. This plant blooms in mid- to late-August, producing 18-inch tall green stalks adorned with 5-6 yellow buds tipped with red streaks. Its foliage, which is deer-resistant, emerges in early November and persists through winter.
