Description:
Syneilesis palmata, commonly known as the palmate umbrella plant, is native to Korea and Japan. It is recognized for its unique foliage that resembles a miniature umbrella, with leaves that are less shredded than its relative, S. aconitifolia. The plant grows to about 24 inches tall and is suitable for shade gardens, thriving in USDA zones 5 through 8. It flowers in late summer and is ideal for difficult woodland conditions, slowly spreading through rhizomes.
