Description:
Discovered in the Wuling Farm region of Taiwan, this plant grows on steep, damp, forested cliffs at 6,000 feet elevation. It has leathery evergreen leaves up to 3 feet long and 3 inches wide, with 2-foot tall scapes of green flowers aging to orange. The flowers have a unique clinical scent strongest in the late afternoon, and the plant matures into short stalks of bright red fruit in fall.
