Malus domestica 'Jonagold' is a large golden-yellow apple with red splashes, known for its sweet and sharp, rich, aromatic flavor. A cross between Golden Delicious and Jonathan, it requires 700-800 chill hours and ripens from mid-September to late October. This apple tree is hardy in zones 5 through 8 and is excellent for fresh eating, baking, and cider, though it does not store well.
