Description:

Nepenthes murudensis is a unique climbing plant endemic to the summit area of Mount Murud in Borneo, Malaysia. It is a slow-growing species, thought to be a hybrid of N. reinwardtiana and N. tentaculata, and belongs to the 'Hamata group' of related species. The plant features coriaceous, oblong-elliptic leaves and produces both lower and upper pitchers with a waxy zone. Its habitat consists of stunted montane scrub and ridge vegetation, and it is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Nepenthes murudensis is notable for its glabrous parts and racemose inflorescence.
