Cypripedium 'Francis' is a hybrid orchid released in 2001, resulting from a cross between Cypripedium kentuckiense and Cypripedium speciosum. This 15-inch tall specimen features medium-sized flowers with a white and purple-stained pouch and long, twisted, purple-striped sepals. It prefers slightly moist but well-drained soils and is maintenance-free once established. Bees are the primary pollinators of this plant, which thrives in part sun to light shade. Its striking flowers make it a captivating addition to woodland gardens.
