Description:
Nepenthes attenboroughii is a critically endangered carnivorous pitcher plant endemic to the Victoria Massif in Palawan. It is known for its large, bell-shaped pitchers, which can hold over 1.5 liters of fluid. This montane species grows at elevations between 4,750 and 5,660 feet and is not found with other Nepenthes species, resulting in no natural hybrids. The plant's pitchers often contain a viscous fluid that supports various infauna.
