Description:
Native to South Africa, this spiny succulent shrub has irregular basally clumping stems and clustered crowns of spines. It blooms in summer and is hardy to 25°F, or 14°F if roots are kept dry. The plant prefers light shade to full sun and grows well in very draining mineral potting substrate with moderate watering all year except in the coldest month.
