Description:
Native to the Himalayas, this perennial buckwheat forms a deciduous mass of fleshy stalks, growing 3 feet tall and 6 feet wide. It has sweet potato-like foliage with creamy variegation and produces small white flowers in late summer. It is used medicinally for various ailments.
