Description:

Juniperus communis is a shrubby juniper with a broadly columnar shape, introduced from Sweden in 1970. It grows to about 10 feet tall in ten years, with new growth that is bright gold, transitioning to greenish gold. This plant forms a clump 4 feet wide and 2 feet tall, making it an excellent accent plant. Its foliage changes from intense gold in spring and summer to chartreuse, providing year-round interest.
