Description:
Utricularia fulva is a small to medium-sized annual carnivorous plant endemic to the Northern Territory of Australia. It grows in sandy stream beds, either terrestrially or subaquatically, depending on the season. The plant features narrow, delicate leaves and bladder traps that capture small critters like ciliates and nematodes. Its peach-colored flowers with yellow centers and maroon speckles bloom when conditions are right, requiring a cycle of flooding followed by a dry period.
