Description:
Cypripedium 'Maria' is a hybrid orchid created by Werner Frosch in 1991, combining Cypripedium parviflorum v. parviflorum and Cypripedium macranthos var. speciosum. It features 14-inch tall stalks of flowers in mid-spring, with white pockets occasionally stained with burgundy and twisted sepals of dark burgundy. This hardy orchid is a striking addition to any garden.
