Blossfeldia liliputana

Family: Cactaceae, Genus: Blossfeldia

Description:

Blossfeldia liliputana is the smallest of all cacti, native to southern Bolivia and northwestern Argentina. This miniature cactus forms solitary or clumping mounds with a flattened disc-shaped, gray-green stem. It features diurnal white or pinkish flowers in late spring to early summer and is self-fertile. Blossfeldia liliputana is frost-tolerant if kept dry and prefers some shade with ample airflow, making it a unique addition to any cactus collection.
