Pseudorhipsalis amazonica

Family: Cactaceae, Genus: Pseudorhipsalis

Description:

Pseudorhipsalis amazonica, commonly known as 'Blue Flame', is a rare epiphyte from the Amazon rainforest. Its foliage resembles an Orchid Cactus, and it produces flowers along the leaf edges from late spring through early summer. The early spring flowers are magenta, while summer flowers have a blue tip. This plant thrives in partial sun to shade and prefers a temperature range of 45 to 95 degrees. Pseudorhipsalis amazonica requires more frequent waterings but should be allowed to get slightly dry before watering. Its unique appearance and adaptability to various light conditions make it a popular choice for both indoor and outdoor gardens.
