Description:

Crinum 'African Queen' is a compact plant with a rosette of glossy green leaves, standing about 1 foot tall. It produces 3-foot stalks adorned with 14-16 red-striped buds that open into pure white, tubular flowers. This plant begins flowering in early September in North Carolina, but may bloom as early as late summer in warmer climates. It is known for its striking appearance and ability to attract butterflies.
