Agave gracilipes is a native of western Texas, southern New Mexico, and Chihuahua, found in grasslands and desert scrub. It features rigid grey-green leaves and tall flowering stalks with yellowish flowers. This plant prefers dry alkaline soils and is a hybrid of Agave neomexicana and Agave lechuguilla.
