Description:
Sanguisorba officinalis is a perennial plant native to wet grassy meadows and streamsides in the Western US. It forms a 4-inch tall by 15-inch wide clump of pinnate green leaves with a creamy border. The plant produces 7-inch tall spikes with burgundy tips in early June and has various medicinal uses, including reducing blood flow and treating fevers.
