Description:
This plant has variegated dark green and white leaves with creamy yellow stripes and violet-blue flowers in mid-summer, followed by blue-black berries in the fall. Known as monkey grass, it helps with erosion control and thrives in full sunlight to shady locations, preferring rich, moist, slightly acidic soil. It is fairly drought tolerant after establishing and grows up to 1.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide.
