Drosera filiformis var. tracyi

Family: Droseraceae, Genus: Drosera

Description:

Drosera filiformis var. tracyi is a carnivorous plant native to the wet pocosins of the southern Gulf Coast of North America. It thrives in open, sunny bog conditions and can tolerate drier environments than most sundews. This plant emerges in late spring and remains active throughout summer and fall, forming a large, sturdy winter hibernacula. Its white flowers bloom on tall scapes from May to June, and it produces abundant seeds, making it a resilient competitor among non-carnivorous plants.
