Description:

Blephilia ciliata, commonly known as downy wood mint, is a herbaceous perennial native to North America. It grows up to 80 cm tall and features fragrant leaves and flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Traditionally used by the Cherokee for headaches, this plant prefers average to slightly dry soils and is a non-spreading woodland version of bee balm.
