Description:
This stout cultivar has fat, upright, green and apple red pitchers with flaring hoods that are rounded and rufous red. It attracts insects with nectar glands and forms dense colonies, preferring open, sunny boggy conditions. The plant holds its color into frost and blooms mid-season with numerous red, spicy fragrant flowers. It is a complex cultivar involving S. (psittacina x purpurea) x minor.
