Description:

Dianthus knappii is a perennial herbaceous plant endemic to the Dinaric mountains of Herzegovina and Montenegro. It features small, sulphurous-yellow flowers and linear-lanceolate leaves. The plant blooms in May and June, producing a globulous peak cluster of flowers. It thrives in xerothermal areas on limestone bedrock and is a typical heliophyte. This small-growing carnation is interesting in mass plantings and adds a unique touch to sunny garden areas.
