Description:
This cultivar is a natural hybrid of S. rubra wherryi and S. rubra rubra, characterized by its rufous red pitchers and rounded hoods. The pitchers are laced with fine dark red veins and covered with fine hairs, giving them a velvety appearance. It is vigorous and forms dense colonies, preferring open, sunny boggy conditions. The plant blooms mid-season with small, numerous, red, spicy fragrant flowers and holds its color into frost.
