Description:
Created by Hans Hansen in 2017, this plant is a seedling of Manfreda 'Chocolate Chips' with shorter, thicker leaves and dramatic undulations. It features dark chocolate chips per leaf and glaucous, rubbery, spine-free leaves. The plant is evergreen in frost-free climates and tardily deciduous when temperatures drop into the teens Fahrenheit. It forms 10-inch tall by 32-inch wide clumps and produces 30-inch stalks in late spring with unique flowers resembling diving burgundy spiders with bright yellow shoes.
