Description:

This nutritional powerhouse is loaded with vitamins A and C, calcium, protein, iron, and fiber. It can be grown indoors any time of year and is harvested when 2 to 4 inches tall. The 'Red Russian' variety, brought to North America in 1885, is sweet and tender, excellent for mesclun, garnishes, and sautéing.
